Today, we bring this philosophy to life through two collection lines: MONDAINE SBB, rooted in one of Switzerland's most recognisable design icons, and Doppio, a contemporary expression of our design language.
MONDAINE
SBB LINE
AN ICON OF SWISS DESIGN
The MONDAINE SBB collection is inspired by the Official Swiss Railways Station Clock, designed by Swiss engineer Hans Hilfiker in 1944. Its clean black markers, highly legible hands and iconic red second hand have made it an enduring symbol of Swiss design.
In 1986, we translated this unmistakable design from the station platform to the wrist, creating a collection of watches and clocks that remains true to its original principles of clarity, functionality and simplicity.
MONDAINE
DOPPIO
A CONTEMPORARY EXPRESSION
Doppio introduces a new chapter in our design story. Its name, meaning “double” in Italian, reflects repetition as a defining design principle, expressed through double-line hands and indexes.
A concave dial and double-domed sapphire crystal add depth and dimension, while the clean composition remains unmistakably MONDAINE. The result is a contemporary collection that builds on our design heritage while establishing a character of its own.
