MONDAINE expands its Doppio collection with the introduction of the Doppio Bauhaus Inspired, a new series that explores the relationship between colour, geometry, and time through the lens of modernist design. Available in 33 mm and 41 mm, the release reflects a broader shift towards expressive minimalism, where clarity is no longer neutral, but chromatic.
As a contemporary addition to the MONDAINE portfolio, Doppio was conceived to embody balance: heritage and modernity, structure and emotion, minimalism and depth. With the Bauhaus Inspired editions, this dialogue becomes more graphic and more chromatic, guided by the principles of modernist design.
The dial draws inspiration from Bauhaus colour theory, structured as a circular composition where indexes subtly shift in hue to reflect the interplay of primary tones.
For the first time, the dial features the “Doppio” marking, a subtle signature reinforcing the collection’s identity. The iconic red second hand adds a precise visual accent, introducing rhythm and movement within the disciplined layout and like every detail in this design, serves a defined purpose.
Double Lines. Dimensional Depth.
The Doppio collection is characterized by its distinctive double-line design. The hour and minute hands are formed by two parallel lines, a feature that extends consistently to the dial indexes, creating a clear and recognizable visual identity while supporting legibility.
The concave dial adds depth to the watch face and enhances its dimensional character. Combined with the double-domed sapphire crystal and refined dial finishing, it ensures clarity while reinforcing the structured, architectural design of the Doppio Bauhaus Inspired.
Geometry Front and Back
In true Bauhaus spirit, geometry becomes a central narrative element. The trilogy of circle, square, and triangle appears not only on the case back, but also integrated onto the dial, reinforcing the visual language of primary forms.
Rendered in colours that echo the dial’s chromatic tones, these symbols connect front and back in a cohesive design story. They represent the essential building blocks of form: clarity through geometry, balance through proportion. Their placement reflects MONDAINE’s commitment to meaningful design rather than ornamentation.

The organic rounded case provides a softer counterbalance to these graphic elements, maintaining wearability while preserving architectural strength. Offered in two sizes, 33 mm and 41 mm, the collection adapts to different individual styles, wrists and wearing preferences while retaining the collection’s visual identity.
